While writing it, I had originally intended for Coherence to be read in at least two ways: first the typical one—front to back, as it were—and second by flipping through the text at random. In addition to being within my own very limited abilities (all pamphlets are made by hand using the simplest methods and the kinds of materials most readily available), printing like this allows the reading to be more thoroughly randomized by shuffling sections not only within the volume, but between other volumes and series where further connections and associations may become more apparent…
